Frequently asked questions

Can I read my saju without a birth time?

Yes. Select “I do not know the time” to read six characters, without the hour pillar. On a solar-term day, the year and month pillars use provisional local-noon values. The starting date for ten-year cycles is omitted.

Why can another site show a different chart?

Schools differ on the day boundary, solar-time correction and hidden-stem weighting. Ohangdam changes the day at local midnight, uses that day’s master for the 23:00 hour, and offers an optional approximate longitude correction.
